we had lunch with an old friend friday & had a fantastic time. paula & i go way back & i mean wayyyy back. we lived close to each other growing up in ny & our parents were good friends. we played together all through childhood. funny thing is we've been living in atlanta together for years & have never connected. the really funny thing is, she now lives like 10 miles from us on the same side of town (small world). so after many attempts at meeting up, yesterday isabella & i finally met her for lunch & margaritas. it was nice to catch up & share what's happening in our worlds. i could have sat & chatted for hours, but isabella needed a nap. we plan to get together again in the next couple weeks & hopefully it will become a regular thing. i loved visiting a piece of my past & sharing it with my daughter. later last night before dinner, i asked bella if she liked meeting miss paula & she said 'paula's really sweet'! her mommy feels the same way!
we are off to fl this week & looking forward to time with family. isabella will have her own seat on the plane this time - what a big girl!
