The things I love about my 7 month old. . .

Isabella is 7 months today!! WOW, can't believe what a big girl she is. There are so many things I love about her - here are just a few:
  1. I love the way she squirms with excitement when I go to get her up in the morning.

  2. I love the way she says "Ma Ma".

  3. I love the way she smiles when her Daddy kisses her goodnight.

  4. I love the way she crinkles her nose and gives these funny looks.

  5. I love the way she gets so excited when I come home in the afternoon.

  6. I love the way she giggles when we tickle her.

  7. I love the way she likes to cuddle and be hugged.

  8. I love the way she jumps up and down in her Baby Einstein when you say "one, two, one two". . .

  9. I love the way she smells.

  10. I love the way she looks at me and smiles - it's the best thing in the world!

Fun in the Sun!

We spent Sunday afternoon just hanging out at the pool with Grandma & Grandpa Nitto. It was a beautiful day and Isabella really enjoyed the water. She got to swim with her Daddy for the first time. After all the fun we went back to G&G's for a cookout and a cocktail or 2! Thanks for a fun afternoon G&G!!

Just because. . .

just had to post this picture cause it makes me smile! This was from Mother's Day!

Summertime!

Nothing says summertime like a homemade strawberry rhubarb pie!! When I was a little girl my mom would make us such great homemade treats. One of them was a strawberry rhubarb pie. You knew it was summer when you smelled it baking. I haven't had much time to bake since Isabella was born and I miss it. During her 2 hour afternoon nap, I thought I'd indulge in one of my favorite things to do. The house smelled so good!! "Thanks mom for taking the time to bake for us and putting so much love into it". I hope I am able to fill Isabella's summers with great smelling treats from the heart and I wish for her many wonderful memories.

Looking back. . .

Isabella and I spent part of the afternoon today with a dear friend and her 7 week old. It was great to catch up and so nice to see little Rowan! Our visit brought back so many memories and made me kinda sad. It wasn't that long ago that Isabella wasn't sleeping through the night, napping good, would only sleep in the swing during the day, etc. . . it seems like just yesterday.

Great Grandma Ryczak. . .

Today (while visiting my parents)Isabella met her Great Grandma Ryczak for the very first time. This was a special moment, as the past couple of months we've noticed that Isabella favors her Great Grandma, in the eyes and expressions. I only wish Grandma really knew who she was meeting. We were able to get a great photo of 4 generations...
