hot pink toes!!  

i was in need of a pedicure desperately, but finding the time to slip away has not been easy.  finally on friday after several errands, planting flowers & a 2 hour nap (for isabella - wish i could say for myself;-) ) isabella & i headed over to the nail salon and got a pedicure.  she enjoyed it - she sat on my lap the whole time with her baby doll.  she didn't partake, but she's warming up to the idea.  maybe she'll let mommy paint her toes a pale pink??

isabella got a new trike!  she can't quite touch the pedals, so we have to push her, but she's so proud of herself & loves it!  she said 'mommy, a pink helmet PLEASE'!  of course isabella!

what a terrific day for a play date!  

friday, sarah & rowan joined us for a picnic at the park & some time for the 

girls to simply run & have a fun.  the girls are just too cute 

together!

everyday isabella turns into more of a little girl & farther away from that tiny baby i once knew.  i remember when she was around 6 months old & feeling so sad that she had changed so much from when she was first born & also feeling like i was losing what she once was.  it may not make sense, but it does to me.  i now look at her with each new stage with amazement & pride at how truly amazing she is as a person.  i enjoy her so much & wonder 'how did we get so lucky'?  i am so proud of the beautiful, sweet & bright child she is becoming!

happy birthday grandpa nitto!

we celebrated grandpa nitto's b-day this past sunday at one of his favorite places - 

57th fighter group.  the weather wasn't what we had hoped, but the brunch was yummy!  

as isabella sang, 'happy birthday to my grandpa'. . .  

last night, while reading our 'eloise wilkin' book about 'god', isabella 

looked up at me and said she was 'going to see god next weekend'.  i said 'oh, where'?? 

she said, pretty confidently 'at the grocery store'.  

we are headed to see 'curious george' next weekend at the fabulous fox & i think she may 

be exaggerating a bit. . .       you think?

what a fabulous day!  

we had errands planned today, but we just couldn't resist 

postponing them & getting outside.  we set up a picnic

in the shade, just us girls (isabella invited her little friend emily ;-)) 

tomorrow is the first day of spring & today couldn't have 

been a better day to start it off!!   

i hooked the easter bunny up!  how cute is this??

the easter bunny is so pleased with the deal he got on this one. . .   

not to mention the best part - the smile it will bring !! 

 

she may just be the cutest thing ever, at least in my world.  with each stage i enjoy her more.  she's got a mind of her own, but still needs me (i don't mind a bit) just the same.  we had a terrific weekend, but i'm way too tired to tell you about it - with the time change today we've been a little behind all day.  

the other night before dinner isabella put her hello kitty purse over her shoulder & said "i'm going to the grocery store . . .   for pizza . . .   for the garbage man".  nice, huh?  . . . she thinks of everyone.
