isabella & rowan enjoyed saturday afternoon at the fountain. they were both completely worn out when we got back home.

i've been thinking a lot lately about 'getting there'. i'm so afraid i'll rush too fast through life & miss the important things. the past couple of years, i've realized that 'getting there' is more often the best part. i think we focus too much on the goal than the ride. we've all thought "i can't wait for this day, or that. . ." i'm making a conscious effort to live more 'in the moment'. to focus on the now & try not to miss any little detail, even the tinniest. . . while gathering as many snapshots i can in my mind to carry with me.

every once in awhile you find a friend that you can totally relate to.
the kind that you can just chat with for hours.

it's so nice having someone that's experiencing the same things that you are & just
plain 'gets it'!
we've worked together for almost 3 yrs, planned our weddings together, planned our pregnancies & now the joys & frustrations of mommyhood.
now that the girls are old enough to really play together, it's been fun getting together just
'us girls'!!

we spent this morning chatting over yummy vanilla lattes & watching the girls play. we found this great coffee shop that allows you to spend time chatting with your gal pals while your
toddlers are playing. for just $5 we got to sit & chat together for a couple hours, while the girls were supervised
by a coffee shop sitter. we of course picked a table closest to the glass so we could watch
them & also so they could glance over at us every so often & feel safe knowing
we were still there.
so looking forward to watching the girls grow together. . .

the everyday moments are the ones i enjoy so much. silly giggles on a sunday afternoon. . . in her new leopard print shoes for the fall. . .

finally finished a project i've been putting on the back-burner since last summer (yes, 'last' summer). . . gave an old bookcase a couple fresh coats of 'oh so cute' pale pink paint. bella's very excited to now have a place for her 'upstairs' books too!

my pictures never compare or look anything like my husband's pics. i really need to start using his camera & 'learning' how to use it. in the meantime i take what i can get & any pic of isabella is a good pic ;-)

our little helper . . . bella loves to help & do exactly what we're doing. she 'helped' daddy wash the car last sunday & had such a grand time doing it that i could barely get her inside to take a nap without bribing her of course. she loves doing laundry & pretends to clean with any spray bottle she gets her hands on. her daddy says she takes after me . . . i will admit she can be a little 'ocd' at times ;-)
