daddy's day

with a handmade invitation by little hands, we took daddy to lunch at a favorite place - 

grace 1720.  

the atmosphere at grace is fabulous, like being in italy.  the weather was perfect, with a slight breeze - it felt like ca.

to new beginnings

her first year in pre-k has come to an end.  thursday morning we celebrated with mrs. elder's pre-k 3 class laua style!  isabella summed it up with a thank you to her teachers 'for teaching me all the fabulous crafts'.  we're grateful for all the new things we learned, friends we've made & lasting memories.   

so excited for her to be able to grow up with the same group of kids throughout her school years going forward.  we had dinner last night with her two bff's keegan & henry.  it's so fun to watch them interact.  here's to many more fun memories to come!! 

tiny dancer

last tuesday night this little girl made us the proudest parents alive.  bella had her first dance recital.  we had no idea what to expect & she was amazing.  she followed her dance instructor from beginning to end & was perfect.  there were tears in my eyes watching her & when it was over she was so proud!!  proud of what she accomplished & so proud to see how proud we all were of her.  she was beaming!

today was one of those days, not a whole lot going on & that was okay.  love days like today. . .  when you don't have to be anywhere & things just happen.  for some reason sister woke earlier than usual this morning, so we got an early start to our day.  i was able to get the things i had to get done today before 10:30, which was nice.  us girls did some artistry this morning on the drive way.  we had a blast. 

i found this at target yesterday & thought she would flip over it & i was right.  besides the usual sidewalk chalk, this is actual washable sidewalk paint.  complete with a brush, a roller & it's own paint tray.  it went over well. 

we also did some swimming today & had lunch at the pool. 

had some unusual guests join us.  these two flew in out of the blue landing right in the pool for an afternoon swim.  isabella got a kick out of swimming with the two ducks & tried to chase them around the pool for a bit. 

isn't she pretty?!  we had dinner at one of our favorite spots tonight - ipolito's.  

a nice way to end a good day.  hope tomorrow will be even better. . .   

~getting ready for summer~

summer is right around the corner & we're ready!  

isabella even made a list of all the things she's planning to do this summer - she's a busy girl !! pre-k ends in two weeks & we were lucky enough to find a nanny for the summer with time to spare. we had over 100 applicants !!  miss ashley is a nanny for an 18 month old & is off for the summer because the father is a teacher.  it worked out perfectly for all of us.  we lucked out too, as she is also a swim instructor!!  we are so excited that isabella will get lots of pool instruction this year.  we're ready for a fun summer & obviously have a lot to accomplish!!
