saturday afternoon we thought we'd check out the duluth art festival and hoped the weather would hold out. it turned out to be a comfortable nice afternoon. there was also some live music and dancing that isabella really loved.

believe it or not, isabella actually loves wearing her sunglasses & kept them on for most of the afternoon. . .

what a fantastic mother's day. . . started off by a great breakfast cooked by my wonderful husband. . . went for a nice walk with my daughter & then spent the rest of the morning just playing outside. after isabella's nap we had a late mother's day lunch at 'lola's' with grandma & grandpa nitto.

my child has always been a really good eater. i haven't found a food she doesn't like. so i shouldn't be surprised that she seems to love mcdonald's french fries. while out shopping for baby gifts today, i thought i'd try their new 'iced coffee' & also grabbed some fries. i let isabella have one and spent the rest of the car ride home listening to "mo, mo, mo", while she made the more sign language sign. yes, mommy's been holding out on you and no, you will not be getting them on a regular basis. . .

my sweet angel. . . everyday your imagination and amazement with everything 'new' in your world continues to grow. my heart smiles every time i see that glow in your eyes with every new experience. i hope that you never lose that enthusiasm as you grow into the beautiful woman i know you

saturday night we were lucky to get together with some old friends. the williams' came over for a playdate & a dinner out. we enjoyed catching up & letting the kids play. it was really neat to see isabella & landon together again after quite awhile.

what a beautiful day! Isabella & I had our breakfast & then headed over to home depot to pick out some spring flowers to plant. we couldn't resist getting out in the yard today. after helping me pick up stray branches from last week's storm & a long nap, she was busy exploring the yard.

some how this gnome became a best friend & just had to be included in the exploration . . .

i could not love this child more! everyday is something new and so much fun. i just love being around her. while i was making our lunch on friday, i walked in the dinning room to find isabella creatively making 'tap shoes' out of her plastic easter eggs. . . she was quite pleased with herself.

we enjoyed the pool today with grandma. Isabella still loves the pool, nearly walked right in by herself. i think she may be ready for some swimming lessons this summer.
