Officially fall . . .

with the gas 'crisis', we stayed close to home all weekend. i've got a 1/2 a tank and hope i can make it until they restock, which may not be for another week?? the duluth fall festival was this weekend. we always try to go at least for an hour or two every year since we've lived here. we went late saturday afternoon (after isabella's afternoon nap) for a little bit, with grandma & grandpa nitto. we didn't get many pictures, but here's our happy girl enjoying the festival. fall has always been one of my favorite seasons. the weather was pleasant and there was a bit of nostalgia in the air. we stopped and bought isabella 2 adorable hand made outfits at the same booth we bought her some at last year when she was still just a 'bump'. it was neat, the sales lady remembered us and exactly the monogrammed dress we bought for her. seems like just yesterday! it's hard to believe her fast approaching 1st birthday is on its way!

Sigh of Relief . . .

mona (new nanny) has been working out great! she's so sweet, calm and loving with isabella. my child has read more books in the past 2 weeks, i swear, she may be a librarian. mona reads to her, dances with her and sings to her, pretty much all day long. isabella has even started a little singing of her own - she loves to sing along to 'twinkle, twinkle little star' - very cute! the past month has been tough and now mommy can breathe again. . .

Cousins. . .

Isabella had a blast this past labor day weekend! we spent sunday with the family at grandma & grandpa nitto's. she got a kick out of swimming with her cousins julia & emilie. she thought the girls were just hysterical!! thanks for lunch grandma, it was delicious. . .
