if you ask isabella at any point during the day what she would like to do, she will 
most likely answer 'paint or do a craft'.  today, we made this cute pumpkin together & what fun 
we had!

 
i can't remember the last time i went to a fair, it's been years.  this afternoon we took bella to her first
fair, the gwinnett fair.  she rode her first ride (with mommy of course), had fresh lemonade, went thru the petting zoo area & we won her her first stuffed animal (a blue hippo).  she had a blast.  one of 
her favorite books is 'angelina at the fair', so she was so excited to go...
  & went to bed as the 
happiest toddler in the world. 

we're getting ready for fall in our house. . .  
maybe that will bring on some cooler weather!  one can only hope.

today was a great 'girls day'!  isabella & i met some dear friends for some strolling, shopping, lunch & just fun chit-chat.  we stopped in at barnes & noble so the girls could sit in the children's book area for a bit & we could check out the cutest books ever. . .   i searched for this book to share as it's become a staple in our house.  'GOD gave us you' by lisa tawn bergren, is a super cute book.  it's one of our favorites & a perfect book to share with your favorite little one.  it always has my little one's attention & she loves to hear about how she came about.  if you're looking for a great baby gift or simply need a new book on your shelf, this one's a must. . .  happy reading!

 

  

i've become accustom to getting up earlier than everyone else in the house, simply to have a bit of 'me' time.  it's amazing how an hour of 'me' time spent sipping my peppermint mocha coffee, checking emails, blogging, reading & anything else i can accomplish during that short period of time, can change the outlook of the rest of my day.  taking time for myself is rare, so i'm willing to sacrifice extra sleep to keep me sane.  

 

now we're off for a big day.  our little niece, emilie spent the night with us last night & we're headed to the circus today!!  the girls will love it!  isabella is so excited!!  then we're headed to a concert tonight at the town green.   should be a fun family night!
